Prince David is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA, Alberta, Canada with 20+ years of international oil and gas experience (onshore and offshore operations) that cuts across four globally active E&P basins (West Africa, North America, South America, and Middle East). Prince David is the founder and president of Davcon Royal Corporation. He oversees the overall business activities of the diversified services corporation (domestic and international) with a unique blend of technical, operational and management capacity to coordinate all aspect of project decision gates & milestone reviews and advise client’s decision makers on project economics and go forward plans.
Prince David has managed small to large scale projects and led multi-disciplinary functions while at Davcon Royal Corp, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, US, Extreme-Tech Energy Int’l, Canada & Nigeria, ConocoPhillips, Canadian Natural Resources Limited, Alberta Energy Regulator, and Nexen Inc. all based in Calgary, AB., Canada and Petroleum Technology Research Center – University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, Chevron Nigeria Limited, Nigerian National Petroleum Corp (NAPIMS & NPDC) in different functional role: reservoir, exploitation, development, simulation and production optimization engineer and in diverse leadership capacity: Manager, Reservoir Studies & Special Project, Advisor, Reservoir Engineering, Asset Lead, Project Manager, Reserves Coordinator, Reservoir & Production Optimization Lead, Field Development Planning & Infill Program Coordinator and Technology Management Consultant.
Prince David is highly skilled in Production, Exploitation and Reservoir Engineering best practices with track record of designing, implementing, monitoring, optimizing, and providing technical support on several primary, secondary, EOR (Surfactant flood, ASP, Polymer flood etc.) and thermal recovery projects (Steamflood, Cyclic Steam Stimulation, Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage, High Pressure Air Injection, In Situ Combustion EOR process and their hybrids.) for both light and heavy oil resource play. He has successfully developed and executed several strategic technology programs that focus on alternate & renewable energy, HSE and automation & instrumentation for process efficiency.
Prince David earned a B.Sc. degree (with honors) from University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and M.Sc. (distinction) from the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada both in Petroleum Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in IT application developer & programming (great distinction), Canadian College of Business & Computer, Toronto, Canada. He has reviewed several technical papers, participated in industry technical conference, and delivered several training programs. He is registered member of SPE, CHOA and APEGA.
